UCLA Lake Arrowhead Lodge earns Traveler’s Choice Award for second consecutive year

The UCLA Lake Arrowhead Lodge has earned 2021 Traveler’s Choice Awards from the American online travel company Tripadvisor. The award, which was announced in May, is given to the top 10% of hotels in the world, as determined by guest reviews. The Lodge earned a Traveler’s Choice Awards in 2020, as well.

“This honor affirms that we are a top destination,” said Dylan Matteson, general manager of the Lake Arrowhead Lodge, a newly rebranded conference center and family resort located deep in the San Bernardino Mountains. The four-season property, which is also currently ranked the No. 1 hotel in Lake Arrowhead by Tripadvisor travelers, has received a month over month increase in reservations in 2021 and is currently preparing for the return of its Bruin Woods family camp for UCLA alumni, which was held virtually with a series of online programs and activities in 2020 due to COVID-19.

“We love sharing our amazing 50-acre property with all our guests and celebrating the beauty of Lake Arrowhead,” said Matteson. “We can’t wait to create new memories with our returning guests and new guests, safely, in the post-pandemic world.”

Matteson said there is already an uptick in interest from travelers and event planners, and reservations are almost back to pre-pandemic levels, which is exciting for his staff.

“Our team is dedicated to providing a one-of-a-kind experience for our guests,” said Matteson. “Serving guests in this coming year will be that much more meaningful after the year we all just went through.”
